Properties (the following information is for reference only): white crystals. Dissolved in water, the solution is acidic. It is soluble in dimethylamide, partially soluble, ethanol, and insoluble . Slightly sour. PH value: strong acid, the pH value of 0.1% (weight ratio) aqueous solution is 2.6. The sodium salt solution is neutral. It is stable at room temperature, but its aqueous solution must be added with a polymerization inhibitor to prevent its self-polymerization. Flash point: 160°C; melting point: 195°C
Uses: This product is for scientific research only and should not be used for other purposes. (The following uses are for reference only) The product has polymerizable vinyl and hydrophilic sulfonic acid groups in the molecule, and can be combined with water-soluble monomers such as  non-water-soluble monomers such as styrene . Copolymerization. The introduction of hydrophilic sulfonic acid groups in the polymer makes the fibers, films, etc. hygroscopic, water-permeable and conductive.
