What is Cyclohexanemethanol?

Cyclohexanemethanol is a colorless or yellow liquid, with alcohol chemical properties, can occur oxidation, esterification, etherification, halogenation reactions. Cyclohexyl methyl 4-methylthio-2-oxo-butyric acid was synthesized by esterification reaction with 4-methylthio-2-oxo-butyric acid, which can be used to treat liver, kidney, pancreas and brain diseases. Cyclohexyl methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate can be esterfied with 4-hydroxybenzoate to produce cyclohexyl methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate, which can be methylated with pyrrole tetrahydride and methylchemicalbook aldehyde solution to produce cyclohexyl hydroxybenzoate. The compound can be used as antiarrhythmic drug. Hydroxyl polyethoxy methylcyclohexyl n-octa ne can be synthesized from cyclohexyl metha nol. The sodium salt of this substance is a kind of biodegradable detergent, which can be used to treat sewage. Cyclohexyl alcohol can also be glycosylated to prepare as an immunoglobulin inhibitor.
